DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Prairie Grain Development Committee’s (PGDC) 2026 Annual Meeting. Gather with us March 2-5\, 2026 in Banff at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity where we will exchange information for the advancement of prairie grains. The meeting will facilitate scientific discussion\, research prioritization and the development of improved cultivars. \nThe Prairie Recommending Committees and Subcommittees for Wheat\, Rye and Triticale; Oat and Barley; Pulse and Special Crops; and Oilseeds will be meeting over the course of the four days. \nAn evening reception\, plenary session and scheduled breaks will provide fantastic networking opportunities. \nThe theme of the 2026 Plenary Session is “Made in Canada Seed“. SUMMARY:The Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies (AOSCA) Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies (AOSCA)\n\n\n\n\nis a non-profit organization founded in 1919 (formally known as the International Crop Improvement Association) in an effort to establish credible standards for the production of high-quality seed. Today\, AOSCA has member agencies across the U.S. as well as seven member countries including Canada\, Chile\, Argentina\, Brazil\, Australia\, New Zealand\, and South Africa. \nThere is only one certification agency in each state; generally a Crop Improvement Association\, Seed Growers Association\, Department of Agriculture\, or within an Agricultural College. Each member agency adheres to the AOSCA minimum standards but has the flexibility to make standards more stringent if necessary for the production in their own state. All AOSCA standards abide by the Federal Seed Act requirements for certified seed.
