DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Prairie Grain Development Committee’s (PGDC) 2026 Annual Meeting. Gather with us March 2-5\, 2026 in Banff at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity where we will exchange information for the advancement of prairie grains. The meeting will facilitate scientific discussion\, research prioritization and the development of improved cultivars. \nThe Prairie Recommending Committees and Subcommittees for Wheat\, Rye and Triticale; Oat and Barley; Pulse and Special Crops; and Oilseeds will be meeting over the course of the four days. \nAn evening reception\, plenary session and scheduled breaks will provide fantastic networking opportunities. \nThe theme of the 2026 Plenary Session is “Made in Canada Seed“. DESCRIPTION:The New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries is pleased to invite all ISTA members\, associates\, and stakeholders to the 34th ISTA Congress\, to be held from 5-9 May 2025\, at Te Pae Conference Centre\, in Christchurch\, New Zealand. \nThe Congress is comprised of a Seed Symposium on “Seed Quality for Global Food Security and Biodiversity”\, a discussion forum on new breeding technologies\, plus Technical Committee meetings and the Ordinary General meeting. SUMMARY:National Association of Plant Breeders Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that the 2025 NAPB annual meeting will be held May 19-23 in Kona\, Hawai‘i Island. The meeting will take place at the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa. In preparation NAPB is offering up to $1\,000 in reimbursement to 40 US based students and 10 early career scientists (within 7 years of highest degree earned) who are NAPB members. All awardees will be required to participate in the poster session. This award can only be used for travel expenses; it cannot be used for conference registration. Those interested will need to apply by December 31\, 2024. The link to apply has been sent to all members. We look forward to seeing you in Hawai‘i. \nThe NAPB annual meeting provides unique opportunities for private and public sector plant breeders and students to network and build professional relationships. Experts from 40+ crops share innovative breeding strategies and discuss emerging technologies to advance the science of crop improvement. Open dialogue about plant breeding public policy issues are encouraged and facilitated. Students have the opportunity to present their research\, meet with potential employers\, and become acquainted with faculty and industry mentors from various institutions and geographies. Informational sessions offer opportunities to learn from plant breeders at all stages of career development.
