Calling all plant scientists in the public sector!

Don’t miss the chance to have your research program recognized as a top advancer of the Canadian seed sector!

Seed World Canada is on the hunt for the plant breeding programs that are carrying the seed sector noteworthy strides forward. Our Public Sector Plant Science Showcase will feature a diverse range of innovative thinking, technological advancements and creative efforts. Your program could be one of the programs we celebrate! Simply tell us in 200 words how you’re contributing towards advancing seed and you could be featured in our July issue.

Every qualifying submission will be mentioned – we want to celebrate the incredibly diverse work being done across plant science/breeding in Canada – but we will pick the Top 3 winners based on the following criteria:

  • Novelty of research: Your work should introduce a new concept or technology to the market, making it stand out from competitors.
  • Impact on sustainability: Your work should have a positive impact on the environment, promote sustainable farming practices, and reduce the carbon footprint of the agriculture industry.
  • Scientific innovation: Your program’s research and development should be cutting-edge and have a significant impact on the agriculture industry, such as developing new plant traits or improving crop yield.

The Top 3 winners will be chosen by Seed World Canada’s editorial board.

Submit your innovation by May 1, 2024.
