Adam Bolton has Great Career Advice — and a Firm Opinion on Ranch Dressing

Adam Bolton is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He studies the physiology and genetics of salt and heat tolerance in diverse carrot germplasm with the goal of developing new breeding material. He’s also a 2018 National Association of Plant Breeders Borlaug Scholar. We sit down to talk about his work, advice for young breeders and why he doesn’t like to put salad dressing on his carrots.
