SoDak Labs will host its Seed Biology webinar series — similar to a 300 level university course — on seed science and technology. Twelve webinars will be offered, each lasting approximately one hour.
The webinars will be led by Tim Gutormson, who has 35 years of seed technology experience in testing and seed research.
After completing the series of webinars, participants will have a better understanding of seed biology, principles of seed technology and practical experiences relating to seed production and seed quality.
The course is designed for people working in the seed industry, who want to gain more in-depth knowledge of seed technology principles and concepts. Gutormson also says the course can help prepare individuals planning to take the Registered or Certified Seed Technologist Examinations.
The one-hour webinars will be held every Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. (Central) Jan. 13 to April 7, (with the exception of Jan. 26, which is moved to Thursday. Jan. 29).
