Dr. Juan Manuel Montes is Senior Plant Breeding Expert at Computomics. Juan was born in Argentina where he nurtured his passion for agriculture from an early age on. He studied agronomy and specialized in corn breeding at the University of Buenos Aires. He holds a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in plant breeding from Hohenheim University. After his PhD, Juan transitioned to industry, leading breeding programs for some major players. His expertise expanded into AI, where he worked on global initiatives to innovate breeding processes to help fellow breeders leverage the benefits of advanced genomics technologies.
