Gro Alliance Constructs Organic and Non-GMO Seed Corn Conditioning Facility

Gro Alliance recently completed construction of a conditioning facility dedicated to organic and high-purity, non-GMO seed corn in Cuba City, Wisconsin.

The new facility is in a separate, dedicated building with an isolated dust control system and seed conditioning and packaging equipment. According to Gro Alliance, it will only be used for organic and high-purity (less than 0.5 percent GMO presence) seed corn. It also features an organic seed coating system.

“Consumer demand continues to drive the non-GMO and organic corn markets,” says Jim Schweigert, president of Gro Alliance. “This new facility allows us to support those markets by producing more 99.5 percent GMO free seed corn in the U.S., both organically and conventionally.”

Founded in 1941, Gro Alliance is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company that produces GMO, non-GMO, organic, popcorn and soybean seed as well as provides nursery and foundation seed services for companies around the world. Its headquarters are in Cuba City with additional corn seed locations in Howe, Indiana, and Mount Pulaski, Illinois. It also has soybean seed operations in Mount Pulaski and Breckenridge, Minnesota.
