AOSCA Names New Leadership

The Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies (AOSCA) recently named new leadership.

An AOSCA news release announced Michael Bouck of the Utah Crop Improvement Association steps into the role of president, succeeding Doug Miller of the Canadian Seed Growers’ Association, who steps down after serving in the position.

“AOSCA is fortunate to have Michael Bouck step into the role of President,” AOSCA CEO Sarah Wilbanks said in the release. “His deep understanding of certification systems and his commitment to strengthening relationships across states and borders will support AOSCA’s mission and its members well into the future.”

Matthew Young of the Tennessee Crop Improvement Association takes on the role of vice president, filling the position previously held by Bouck.

The release stated Bouck brings experience in seed certification, standards collaboration and industry engagement. His leadership within Utah Crop Improvement and long-standing involvement with AOSCA position him to guide the organization’s continued work supporting science-based seed certification systems.

AOSCA also thanked Miller for his service as president. Representing the Canadian Seed Growers’ Association, he brings an international perspective and technical expertise that strengthened collaboration across North American seed certification systems and supported AOSCA’s mission to maintain credibility and consistency in certification.

“We thank Doug Miller for the time, insight, and professionalism he shared with AOSCA,” the organization notes. “His contributions have left a lasting impact, and we are grateful for his dedication to the seed certification community.”

As president, Bouck works with the AOSCA Board of Directors, committees and member agencies. As vice president, Young supports the board and contributes to strategic initiatives that advance AOSCA’s goals and services to its members.
