BASF, Monsanto Named Two of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2016

BASF employees celebrated the company’s 150th anniversary by planting 150 trees for Earth Day.

BASF was named one of  Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2016. Mediacorp, the country’s largest publisher of employment periodicals, cited BASF Canada for providing its employees with benefits that meet their needs at different life stages, from health care and parental leave to scholarships and retirement. In addition to offering 17 weeks parental leave top-up for new parents, the company offers family coverage on their health plan. The company also received recognition for its learning and development opportunities, including international and cross-organizational moves._x000D_

Employers are evaluated by the editors of  Canada’s Top 100 Employers using eight criteria: physical workplace; work and social atmosphere; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement._x000D_

Selection was based on information from a national Top Employer application submitted by BASF Canada, together with independent research by Mediacorp._x000D_

Last year, the company was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2015 and was also recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2015._x000D_

Monsanto Canada has also been selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers in Mediacorp Canada Inc.’s annual survey of Canadian businesses. This is the 8th time in the past nine years Monsanto has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers._x000D_

Monsanto Canada was among approximately 8,000 employers invited to participate in the detailed application process._x000D_
