At Euroseeds 2023, held this year in St Julian’s, Malta, Lennart Nilsson, Copa Cogeca Chairman for the Oilseeds and Protein crop working party spoke with Seed World Europe Editorial Director Marcel Bruins. Nilsson expanded on Europe’s wish to become more self-sufficient in its plant protein production, why there is a need for an EU Plant Protein Strategy and whether the EU did a good job so far. He also explained when setting up this EU Plant Protein Strategy, what are the most important points for the EU’s farmers.
