Following the tremendous success of our annual meeting in Copenhagen, which welcomed nearly 1,300 participants from across Europe and beyond, we are thrilled to raise the bar once again in Edinburgh, Scotland. Euroseeds2025 is poised to become the most impactful gathering yet for the European seed sector. Mark your calendars and prepare to join an inspiring mix of industry leaders, experts, researchers, and policymakers for a dynamic exchange on the future of plant breeding, seed innovation, and regulation.
Taking place in a premier venue that offers first-class exhibition spaces, top-tier meeting rooms, and inviting networking areas, the congress will deliver a unique experience. The event will take place at the outstanding Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), a first-class venue that provides top-tier meetings, exhibition, and networking facilities. We are proud to offer an upgraded experience for exhibitors this year, with the new Premium Exhibitor Package. For just €1,000.00, this exclusive package includes tailored support designed to boost visibility, engagement, and maximize impact throughout the congress.
Expect a programme filled with high-level sessions addressing the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping the seed sector today. From evolving policy frameworks to the impact of international geopolitical developments, this event promises to be a milestone for everyone engaged in the European and global seed supply chain.
Central to our discussions will be topics of international importance: the role of geopolitics, the rise of protectionism, and growing conversations around seed sovereignty. These issues, increasingly relevant in global trade debates, have direct implications for the European seed sector. Delegates will explore how shifting dynamics could reshape trade rules and impact cross-border seed movement. In this context, the future of EU-UK collaboration will also be in the spotlight. We will delve into the complex but crucial areas of regulatory alignment, from phytosanitary measures to seed marketing rules. Special attention will be given to the evolving legal and policy frameworks that enable innovation, such as Novel Genomic Techniques (NGTs). These tools are increasingly seen as key to addressing food security and sustainability challenges, and Euroseeds2025 provides a timely opportunity to explore how shared frameworks between the UK and EU could boost innovation while ensuring smooth trade flows.
Attendees can also look forward to the latest updates on key EU-level initiatives, including studies on intellectual property rights (IPR) for plant varieties and biotech inventions. These insights will help shape future advocacy efforts and guide strategic decisions by breeders, seed companies, and public research institutions alike. In addition, we will track progress on the implementation of the new EU Vision for Agriculture, exploring how the seed sector can contribute to building a more resilient and sustainable agricultural future.
Set against the historical and scientific backdrop of Edinburgh, the congress promises not only world-class dialogue but also a rich cultural and intellectual experience. Scotland, known for its deep roots in plant breeding and seed production, is an ideal host. Edinburgh itself is home to cutting-edge agricultural research and innovation, making it the perfect setting for these critical industry conversations.
Building on its enthusiastic reception in Copenhagen, we are proud to announce the return of the Euroseeds InnovAction Stage. This special platform will once again highlight breakthrough innovations from start-ups, SMEs, and public-private collaborations. The InnovAction Stage is more than just a showcase – it is a launchpad for the technologies shaping the future of seed production.
