Education plays a key role in getting farmers to adopt biologicals and getting products into their hands for testing on their farm, says Bruce Vester, ABM national seed accounts/regional sales manager at the Independent Professional Seed Association’s annual meeting. As with any product, it’s important to read and follow all label instructions. Vester adds that with products containing a biological, it’s a living organism so there is an expiration date that needs to be checked. Farmers and retailers should be conscious of the temperatures that these products are exposed to; they don’t like high temperatures.
