60+ AgTech Pioneers to Showcase Breakthrough Innovations at World Agri-Tech in San Francisco

The World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit is set to respond to climate change and other major agricultural challenges at its annual innovation and ag-tech investment forum March 19-20 in San Francisco. The event, which is a premier international ag innovation showcase, is set to introduce more than five dozen agtech start-ups and scale-ups. 

San Francisco’s World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit is one in an international series, which include similar events in London, São Paulo, and Dubai. Organized by Rethink Events, World Agri-Tech is internationally renowned for its support and incubation of start-ups, ecosystem building and investment.

San Francisco’s March forum is scheduled to include an innovation showcase, investment opportunities, and targeted networking, all aiming to facilitate partnerships between innovators, investors, and corporations.

The Start-Up Arena, which will span an entire floor of the Marriott Marquis host hotel, includes dedicated exhibition spaces as well as a pitching stage. The following companies will pitch their solutions and strategies from the pitching stage:

  • Crop Protection, Genomics and Biotech Innovations: Calice Biotech, GRA&GREEN, Nat4Bio, Ohmic Biosciences and Alora will present solutions to advance crop protection, sustainable practices, and plant nutrition through cutting-edge biology and next-generation delivery mechanisms.
  • Next Generation Platforms, Marketplaces, AI, and Advanced Monitoring Tools: Agronnect, Agriful Software, Compass Ag, Beefutures, Root Applied Sciences, Farmevo.ai, Grape.ag, Insect Eavesdropper and EX-Fusion will outline solutions for fintech, agronomic platforms and monitoring.
  • AI-Driven Cultivation and Next-Gen Crop Nutrition & Protection: Agwa, Ceragen, TOWING, Anvigen, GroPro, Silvec, TRIC, UpTerra, Invasive Species Corp, Varada Ag, and Quorum Bio will showcase opportunities to leverage AI for autonomous vegetable cultivation and engineer microbials for crop nutrition and soil health.

New in 2024, World Agri-Tech will also include a Scale-Ups section. This area will feature 13 founders who are already successfully navigating growth opportunities within innovative agtech. Companies include: Switch Bioworks, Clean Crop Technologies, Napigen, Interstellar Labs, Nitricity, Pluton Biosciences, Biogea, Concerto Biosciences, Nanomik Biotechnology, AgZen, AMOS Power, Avalo, Solena, Zayndu, Farm-ng and NAX Solutions.

The following agtech talent cultivators, regional hubs and incubators will showcase cohorts from their portfolios:

  • Grow NY will present Hypercell, Mycologic and Ascribe Bioscience, three recent winners of its $1M grand prize pitch competition, open to international food and ag tech start-ups ready to innovate and scale-up in New York state.
  • Natural Products Canada will introduce its pick of best-in-class Canadian agtech start-ups: Aplantex, Biosun, Index Biosystems, Lucent Biosciences, Soligenic Technologies, Bionorth Solutions, Biopolynet and Nature Recombined Solutions.
  • AgLaunch will bring Holganix, Sentinel Fertigation and GenoTwin, each handpicked by farmers to participate in its accelerator program.
  • AgroStart by BASF will showcase Intelinair and Ucrop.it: two advancing start-ups focussed on digital agriculture.
  • Australia’s SparkLabs Cutiv8 will spotlight homegrown start-ups Arugga, Nutrivert, Zetifi, FutureFeed and CleanEyre Global from their alumni network.
  • Business France’s La French Tech will showcase prominent French scale-ups, Naio Technologies, Javelot, Sencrop and Innovafeed.
