The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) notifies grain producers and industry stakeholders that the registration for the flaxseed varieties CDC Arras, Flanders, and Somme will be cancelled effective Aug. 1, 2017._x000D_

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) registers grain varieties and is also responsible for cancelling the registration of varieties. The CGC designates which registered varieties are eligible for delivery into specific classes of grain. As per a protocol established with the CFIA in 2009, the CGC provides three years’ notice when a grain variety’s registration is cancelled at the request of the breeder.
