Join Iowa State’s Free Seed Business Management Webinar Series

Next week from April 17-21, Iowa State University hosts its Seed Business Management webinar series. The series, put on by the Graduate Program in Seed Technology and Business at Iowa State University, is hosted annually to overview hot topics in the seed industry. This year’s topics include export regulations, treated seed policy, biological use and societal expectation, advance breeding tools used in vertical farming and supply chain updates.

Presenters come from across the seed sector to help tackle some of these different topics. The experts include:

  • Alex Cochran, DPH Biologicals chief technology officer
  • Pat Miller, the American Seed Trade Association’s director of state affairs
  • John Purcell, Unfold Bio’s chief strategy officer.
  • Keri Carstens, Jord BioScience’s chief executive officer
  • Tracy Bruns, USDA-APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine as a Commodity specialist for seeds
  • Bobby Martens, Iowa State University’s associate professor from the Department of Economics

Webinars are free to register, and participants only need to register once to access the entire week of sessions offered by the graduate program. The program only asks for participants to come prepared with questions to ask the speakers to ensure a fun dialogue.
