BrettYoung Recognized as One of Canada’s Best Managed Companies

BrettYoung has received Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation for the sixth year in a row and the third as a Gold Standard winner according to a release. The company’s overall performance as a business and their growth has once again earned them this award.

Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of Canada’s top business awards and recognizes Canadian‑owned and managed companies for their business practices. The Best Managed program is in its 30th year and finds companies that demonstrate “leadership in the areas of strategy, capabilities, innovation, culture, commitment and financials to achieve sustainable growth,” according to the release.

“We are once again humbled by the trust our suppliers and customers have placed in us,” said Lloyd Dyck, board chair, and majority shareholder of BrettYoung. “This past operating year was a very difficult one to execute given the impact of the 2021 drought on seed supplies. Our team at BrettYoung did an amazing job serving the needs of our customers around the world. This continued recognition as a Best Managed Company is a proud moment for all of us at BrettYoung.”

“The Best Managed program is proud to recognize companies that combine strategic expertise and a culture of innovation with a steadfast commitment to their communities,” said Lorrie King, partner at Deloitte Private and co-leader for Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “This year’s winners, including BrettYoung, have demonstrated an increased focus on environmental, social, and governance themes as means to drive impactful and sustainable business outcomes. Their unwavering dedication to their core purpose, and to enhancing client relationships, cultivating a healthy culture with their employees, and serving their communities, set the standard of excellence for Canada’s business ecosystem.”
