The global seed group DLF has outgrown its present head office space in Roskilde and has chosen a new, well-suited location in green surroundings in the neighbouring municipality Egedal – a half hour drive northeast of Roskilde.
Kildedal Bakke is one of the new development areas in Egedal and is easily accessed by S-train and motorway. The area already houses other large companies and will be further developed over the coming years with many new homes and jobs. Construction of the new head office will start in the spring of 2023, and the new domicile is expected to be ready for moving in by mid-2024.
CEO of DLF, Truels Damsgaard, looks forward to the seed group moving to better settings:
– Over a number of years, DLF has experienced significant growth and, as a global company, we need more modern and up-to-date facilities for our employees. For several years, we have been on the lookout for a new location that offers more space and better settings, and the new domicile is part of a strategy to create an attractive and sustainable workplace that supports our global values in the group.
– We find that Egedal as a green municipality is a good match for our green company, and we appreciate the constructive cooperation and good dialogue between us. In our choice of building site, we have also focused on having a good infrastructure and easy access to public transport, and the location right next to Kildedal S-train station with quick access to the Frederikssund motorway makes this the ideal location for us.
- DLF is a global seed group and world market leader with full value chain in forage and turf seeds in Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania
- DLF has more than 2,000 employees in more than 20 countries and a turnover of DKK b7.5.
- About 100 employees will have their daily workplace in DLF’s new head office
- On 8 February 2022, DLF and Egedal Municipality sign a development agreement regarding the land and the further process
