Remembering Steven Charles

Steven Charles Wolf, 66, of rural Tipton County, Indiana, died Jan. 2 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Charles was the owner of S&R Consulting, and retired at the end of 2016. He was born in Bremen March 24, 1950, to Charles Wolf, Jr. and Ruby (Ropp) Wolf. He married Ramona Johnson Aug. 29, 1970.

He was a 1968 graduate of Tipton High School and received both his bachelor’s degree in agriculture education and master’s in plant pathology from Purdue University. Fishing was a life-long passion for Steve.

Survivors include: his wife Ramona, their two children, Amy Lucas and husband Ed, Tipton, IN and Curtis Wolf, Atlanta, IN; three brothers, John Wolf and wife Joanne, Bryan, Ohio, Dan Wolf and wife Chris, West Allis, Wisconsin and David Wolf and wife Larri, Acworth, Georgia; Steve’s four grandchildren, Trenton, Dylan, Connor and Savannah Lucas; six nieces, one nephew, one great-niece and two great-nephews; and a dear family friend who was like an adopted son, Sam Tweedy.

A graveside service for Charles was held today, Jan. 5 at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton, with Rev. Judy Purvis presiding. Memorial contributions in Steve’s honor can be made to the Charles Wolf Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Tipton County Foundation, P.O. Box 412, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
