IPSA Announces Changes to IPSA Board of Directors

Hinrichs

As the Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) prepares for their upcoming conference, the IPSA board of executive directors has announced changes to their members.

Brett Hodnefield, president of Champion Seed, will step down from the board and retire in 2022.

With Hodnefield’s retirement, a new board member will take his place. Joining the board in 2022 is Aaron Conaway, president of Total Seed Production. Conaway has served on a variety of committees for the American Seed Trade Association, IPSA, Friends of Tipton FFA, Indiana Crop Improvement Association (ICIA), the Tipton School Corporation Ag Advisory and INDOT Community Advisory. He served as a member of the ICIA for five years and served as president in 2013.

“I look forward to all of that comes with this role,” Conaway says. “I am excited to reflect on our past, focus on the present and fight for a positive future for independent seed companies!”

In addition, Colin Steen of Legacy AgriPartners has been nominated as the IPSA board of directors second vice president for 2022. The board voted on the nomination for the officer position earlier this week.
