Meristem Crop Performance announced today that ag industry veteran Chris Reat has joined their team to expand business opportunities in Texas and across the southern US. He will seek to further boost Meristem’s portfolio of innovative solutions into new markets.
“We’re growing fast and intent on building an all-star team to help our farm business partners deliver improved ROI (return on investment) to the growers they serve,” said Mitch Eviston, Meristem Founder and CEO today in the announcement. “We are so pleased to have Chris Reat come aboard and apply his deep experience to serving farmers and dealer-partners.”
Reat has an extensive background in sales, account responsibility, marketing, stewardship, and team leadership. He has held positions with UPL, FMC and Monsanto. In addition to sales responsibilities, he will seek business development opportunities with partners throughout the region he serves.
Reat is a graduate of Texas A&M University, College Station, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agriculture Development. He and his wife Becky have two sons: Cole, a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and currently in pilot training, and Cade, a senior at Texas A&M studying supply chain management and set to graduate in December.
“The Meristem Team has grown remarkably in a short time,” Reat said. “Their fresh, innovative approach to the market, along with the highest quality products, makes for a combination generating a lot of excitement in our farmer customers and dealers. They are intent on providing products that help farmers get more done with less and I am honored to be a part of it.”
