KALO, Inc., a supplier of specialty chemicals for the agricultural and specialty turf markets,  welcomes Dusty Allen as area manager and key account specialist. Allen will be based in Blackfoot, Idaho, and serve the states of Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

“Dusty brings extensive experience in agricultural business development, territory management and technical sales”, says Doug John, KALO director of sales and marketing. “In his new capacity, he will be responsible for supporting key customers in the Pacific Northwest region while working directly with field sales representatives and coordinating communications with customer management personnel.”

Chuck Champion, KALO president adds: “While we expect him to be instrumental in support of key customers, we’re also confident of Dusty’s potential to help build our KALO seed care business, which is part of a strategic alliance between KALO and AGRILEAD, Inc. of Russell, Kansas.

“Having worked as an agricultural retail account manager for DuPont Crop Protection and senior technical sales representative for Bayer, Dusty brings a results-oriented track record to our organization.”

“I’m very excited about joining KALO,” says Allen. “It’s a first-class organization with a growing line of top-quality products, and I look forward to helping KALO become an even greater force in the market in the years to come.”

Allen’s work experience in agriculture has been diverse, having promoted crop protection products and cotton and soybean seed to growers in Tennessee and, more recently, supporting relationships with key growers in eastern Idaho’s cereals and potato markets.

Allen earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations/Corporate Communications at Utah State University. Prior to working in agriculture, his sales experience included responsibilities as a scholastic sales associate with Jostens and later as a sales representative for Eli Lilly & Company in its pharmaceutical sales division.
