When Iowa farmer Dennis Albaugh founded the company in 1979, it was more than a business venture. It was a response to a challenge he knew firsthand. He believed farmers deserved greater access to affordable, high-quality crop protection solutions. With that vision, he mortgaged his home, purchased a used truck and a supply of crop protection products, and began serving neighboring farmers throughout Iowa.
From those humble beginnings, Albaugh was built by a farmer, for farmers.
More than four decades later, while the company has grown into a global enterprise, the principles that inspired its founding remain unchanged. We continue to believe that farmers deserve reliable, cost-effective solutions that help them succeed from planting through harvest.
Today, Albaugh remains family-owned and headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa, proudly rooted in the community where it all began.
