Pure Seed welcomes Justin Balich as its new regional manager in the Southwestern zone of the United States, where he is in charge of the company’s cool and warm season turf program. He resides with his wife, Heather, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Pure Seed specializes in the research, marketing and production of turf and forage. According to the company, Balich is an entrepreneurial-minded businessman who enjoys working as part of a team. Additionally, he has a strong personal and professional moral that makes him a great fit to the Pure Seed culture.
Balich earned his bachelor’s in entrepreneurship, management and economics from Northwood University, where he also played baseball. Competing in sports at the collegiate-level set Balich’s expectations for a high level of responsibility and commitment to the team. As a student-athlete at Northwood, he received the 2008 Northwood University Academic Athlete of the Year Award.
Previously, Balich served as director of game and event operations for the Fiesta Bowl, where he served as an intern nine years prior. He was responsible for managing the Fiesta Bowl and Cactus Bowl game operations and logistics. He has also assisted with the event operations for the past three Super Bowls and College Football Playoff National Championship games.
