Centor Oceania appoints Simon Watt, who has worked for the seed coating company for 20-plus years, as its general manager. In this new role, Watt’s prime objective is to grow the reach of the business into new markets and expand the product range available to customers to encompass an ever more holistic seed technology enhancement offering.
According to the company, Watt’s appointment is key to the implementation of Centor Oceania’s strategy to increase market share in the seed coating materials sector, both domestically and internationally.
Watt will support the sales management teams in developing strategies to improve the uptake of Centor Oceania’s seed coating polymers, particularly the next-generation polymer products.
“By using the output from continual development within the R&D arm of the business we aim to stay ahead of the competition in producing quality seed coating products,” Watt says. “Not only this, we will also be providing technologies into the market from in-house development and from other members in the Centor group, through which we are able to market our products globally.
“Drawing on my experience in seed applied materials, actives and beneficials, in combination with a solid understanding of machinery and analytical equipment, will allow me to support our dedicated sales team promoting seed technology. During a time of relative turmoil in the seed coating industry, Centor Oceania is looking forward to increasing its presence and providing a steady hand to our customers.”
