Total Seed Production, Inc. (TSP) promoted Kyle McGaughey from Soybean Supervisor to Corn Plant Manager.

“We are really excited for Kyle to move into a newly formed corn management position after 4 years of being our soybean supervisor. His experience, attention to detail, and his customer focus is perfectly matched for this position.  Kyle has a great reputation amongst his peers and will be an excellent leader for our corn operation,” says Aaron Conaway, TSP president. In his new role, McGaughey will be responsible for TSP’s tailored seed production specifications to ensure customers’ needs are met throughout the entire production process. Ryan Campbell, TSP vice president, stated, “we were disappointed to lose Kyle from the soybean team because he was doing a great job as a supervisor, but I am more excited to see him accept the Corn Plant Manager position. He is in a great position to build upon his knowledge of corn while bringing his customer service, leadership, and communication skills to the highly experienced corn team.”

McGaughey is no stranger to the agriculture industry since he grew up and contributed to his family’s farm in Rochester, Indiana where they grew hay and raised cattle. Graduating from Purdue, his degree is in Plant & Soil Management from the School of Agronomy.

“It’s been a family tradition of working agriculture and it’s the only thing I’ve known and truly enjoy the atmosphere of the industry, the people, and knowing that what I’m doing is making difference. I’m excited to lead the corn team and grow within my new role,” says McGaughey.

Besides being a part of the TSP family, McGaughey is raising his two daughters, Kennedy and Oakley, with his wife, Ryane, in their Miami County, Indiana home. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, smoking meat, and spending time with family and friends.
