SEEDWAY LLC recently announced the creation of their controlled environment agriculture (CEA) department in a joint effort with Sakata Seed America.
“With indoor vegetable production growing in popularity, it has always been SEEDWAY’s goal to bring quality products and varieties that are best suited for the commercial vegetable producer,” according to a release.
The two companies will offer CEA growers a variety with SEEDWAY and Sakata Seed America’s extensive vegetable seed product portfolio that includes traditional greenhouses and vertical farms.
Evelyn Zaleski, sales representative and trials coordinator at CEA, will manage the sales growth of the new department. Zaleski has experience with the selection of vegetable seed products due to her position as product development coordinator at SEEDWAY.
Her previous role required readying seeds for samples and tests, tracking and coordinating trial results for suppliers and assessing product trials, explained the release. With her desire to offer support for growers in the vegetable seed industry, SEEDWAY is confident Zaleski is a great fit.
