Although we’re still a day away from the convention’s start, Seed World Group has already been running into old seed industry friends and making new ones as the seed industry gathers in Orlando.
The biggest seed industry event of the year, the American Seed Trade Association’s Field Crop Seed Convention, starts TOMORROW in Orlando, Florida! Seed World Group will be front and center throughout the week, covering the key take-aways from sessions and capturing perspective from industry thought leaders.
There’s excitement in the air at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, and it’s not just because the FCSC’s new choice of host city is a whole lot warmer (and greener) than Chicago in December. Convention attendees are enthusiastic about the bright, open, airy new convention space; are looking forward to favorite sessions including the annual Dan Basse Ag Economy Report (Wednesday from 8:30-9:30) and the Majors’ Panel Discussion (Wednesday, 9:45-10:45); and are excited by new program elements including the Seed World Innovate Series panel discussions on Thursday and Friday.
Attendees report that, by far and most importantly, they’re most looking forward to connecting with others across the seed value chain. The ASTA Field Crop Seed Convention expects to bring together some 2000 seed industry professionals. No matter how high-tech our world, no Zoom call or TEAMS meeting can be as as productive and inspiring as meeting with colleagues old and new in person.
