DuPont names Jeanmarie F. Desmond as its vice president and controller, effective Aug. 17, succeeding Barry J. Niziolek who plans to retire in September following 34 years of service to the company.
“Jean is a strong leader whose background in investor relations, tax and audit brings diverse experience to her new role as controller. I’m confident her recent work in modernizing and streamlining our audit organization will benefit DuPont greatly as we move forward with the company’s important transformation efforts,” says executive vice president and chief financial officer Nicholas C. Fanandakis. “Jean has been a much-admired member of my team. Personally and professionally, I look forward to continuing to work with her.”
Desmond, who joined DuPont in 1989, was most recently the general auditor and chief ethics and compliance leader. Previously, she spent her career in leadership roles in controllership, investor relations, tax, and financial planning and analysis.
