The European Seed Association Seeks Technical Manager


The European Seed Association (ESA) seeks to hire a technical manager who’s primary focus will be plant breeding and variety registration. The position is located at the association’s office in Brussels, Belgium.
This person will work closely with the ESA membership and as part of the ESA Policy Team. Reporting to the secretary general, the technical manager will be responsible for representing ESA as the key liaison in all relevant plant breeding and variety registration matters toward the responsible EU institutions, the CPVO Community Plant Variety Office and national plant variety offices, UPOV, etc.
Additionally, the technical manager will serve as a spokesperson for the EU seed sector and assure multiplication of European activities at international level as required. Together with the ESA technical manager for plant health and seed trade, this person will help form the technical team supporting the activities of ESA’s crop sections and section working groups.
